Board of Directors

Special Districts hold elections in odd years. Each district must have either 5 or 7 directors, with one director serving as chair. Elected directors serve terms of four years or fewer, while appointed directors serve terms of two years or less. Director positions should be staggered, with a 5-member board having three four-year terms in one election and two four-year terms in the next. All directors must have valid, unexpired terms, take an oath for the current term, and file a current bond with the oath.
